Mothers’ Day is nearly here! Whether you want to give your mum a special gift, treat her to a lovely lunch or share a unique experience with her, we’ve got Mothers’ Day covered on Argyll’s Secret Coast.

Gifts
Shopping on Argyll’s Secret Coast is a relaxed affair, and you’ll find some great gifts for Mothers’ Day in the local shops. Tig Gallery at the heart of Tighnabruaich features a fabulous range of art, as well as a collection of design-led jewellery, sculpture, textiles, glass and ceramics. Here are Tig Gallery’s top five gifts for Mothers’ Day, all available online or in the gallery.

Just a few doors along from the gallery is Gifts & Things, a new addition to Tighnabruaich’s main street. The shop is packed with cracking gifts, crafts and trinkets, as well as some locally made goodies. The Shop at Portavadie is another good spot for Mothers’ Day gifts. It’s a treasure-trove of coastal-inspired clothing, accessories, gifts and more. It stocks iconic clothing brands, soaps, Scottish books, unique jewellery and gadgets galore. Portavadie also offers gift vouchers. Looking for wine, chocolates and other treats? You can’t beat Kames Village Store, your friendly local grocer.

Or how about the gift of an adventure? Wilder Ways runs a programme of horse riding treks as well as bespoke packages for special occasions. The horses will be based at Portavadie through April and August. Tighnabruaich Sailing School runs adult dinghy sailing courses in May, June and August. Another option is a sea kayaking course with Sea Kayak Argyll based at Tighnabruaich Sailing School. Contact Wilder Ways or Tighnabruaich Sailing School to check availability.
