There is so much to see and do on Argyll’s secret coast, and whatever you choose, you can’t help but enjoy the scenery; around every corner there is a new vista to enjoy. There is a great variety of walks in forests or on the coast, with numerous beautiful picnic spots and the opportunity to see the many species of wildlife that lives here. For many people an old fashioned stroll along the coast with a bucket and spade exploring the rockpools can keep the child in us all entertained for hours. There are plenty of opportunities to get out on the water for fishing, kayaking and sailing or just to go on a boat trip around the Kyles of Bute to do some seal-spotting
Speciality shopping There is some lovely speciality shopping; it is certainly on a small scale to the cities, but that is why people enjoy it, especially the friendly, personal service. You will find food, art, crafts and clothing produced locally and from around the world
The Secret of Silence – sssshhh One of the best reasons for coming to Argyll’s Secret Coast is simply to be. Silence can be so valuable in contrast to the noise and haste of everyday life. The silence here allows you to hear the birds and the sea; the peacefulness encourages the simple appreciation of nature; the clear air, the quality of light and the stars at night.
